Connected Lighting for the Caring city | 2018

What if the city of the future could take care of its inhabitants through lighting? We designed an AI agent connected to an ecosystem of private and public lighting solutions and generated use cases for different city inhabitants.

Phil, the AI agent, provides a caring experience to citizens through lighting infrastructure and connected services. Phil relies on pervasive interfaces throughout the city, in both outdoor and indoor ambients. The system provides automatic adjustments and changes in spaces, and interacts with users by gestural inputs and visual feedback. (MIT Design Lab for Signify - full project here)
