CONNECTED LIGHTING FOR THE CARING CITY | RESEARCH | 2018
How will a city convey the idea of “caring” in 2035? The project explored how future connected and intelligent lighting infrastructures can be used to create caring experiences for citizens.
The diagram, resulting from the initial ideation phase, visualizes the seed concepts generated around the different roles lighting can play. They include lighting as guide, catalyst, enhancer, carrier and affect. From this phase, the idea of a lighting AI agent that could connect and enable many of experiences we ideated emerged as the final solution. (MIT Design Lab - more info here)
